A.J. Jarvis is Principal of Pacific Placemaking, a real estate development consulting firm specializing in residential acquisitions, strategic planning, entitlement, and product development. Prior to Pacific Placemaking, A.J. worked for The New Home Company for 13 years where he served Southern California Division President in homebuilding and then as President of the Land Company developing master planned communities.
A large part of A.J.’s career has been in luxury real estate development. He served as Vice President of Land and Planning with Taylor Woodrow Homes and then with Laing Luxury, focusing on luxury housing and master planned communities. Following Emaar Properties purchase of John Laing Homes, A.J. took an executive development position with Emaar Hotels & Resorts where he was responsible for the international expansion of their luxury flags, Amani Hotels and Address Hotels + Resorts.
A.J.’s residential career includes a diverse range of product types from small lot detached to high-rise condominiums. His product and planning innovations have accounted for hundreds of national architectural and planning awards including multiple PCBC Gold Nugget Community and Home of the Year honors. A.J. has a BS degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine.
