Mitch Hires is the CEO of Construction Resources, a 55-year-old, Atlanta-based building supply company that serves builders, designers, remodelers, general contractors, and homeowners with a broad portfolio of specialty interior building products and design solutions.

With more than 35 years of experience in the building products industry, Mitch brings deep market expertise, strong industry relationships, and a proven track record of driving growth across fabrication, manufacturing, distribution, and sales throughout the eastern and southern United States.

Under his leadership, Construction Resources has expanded through a strategic combination of greenfield development and acquisitions, evolving into a multi-product, multi-regional organization. In December 2023, CR was acquired by The Home Depot, marking a significant milestone in its continued growth.

Mitch has been actively involved in the industry throughout his career, serving on several boards, including The Artisan Group, The Builders Club, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, and Cambria Quartz Surfaces. He has also played a key leadership role in the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, where he served as Executive VicePresident and was later named a Lifetime Director in recognition of his contributions.

In addition to his professional work, Mitch and Construction Resources support a number of charitable organizations, including HomeAid Atlanta and Sunshine on a Ranney Day.

A native of Atlanta, Mitch holds an AB in Economics from the University of Georgia. He lives in Atlanta with his wife and two children.
